By August 20th, about a month after installation, the green biofilm had almost completely disappeared from the surfaces in contact with the Vulcan-treated water. The Vulcan does not change the water quality beyond its effect on its propensity to cause scale buildup.
We have had the Vulcan S 250 installed inside the hospital now for a couple of months. We can identify a considerable benefit of the unit installed. We can barely see any scale deposits on the shower heads any more. This saves manpower and costs associated with exchanging sanitary equipment.
This installation was a government project and before the Vulcan descalers were installed it took a great deal of effort and expense to clean the heat exchangers. Within 4 months, they eliminated 330 lbs of monthly scale buildup, reduced chiller approach temperatures, and improved overall energy performance.
Hetero Pharmaceutical facilities have 35 cooling towers and before installing the Vulcan anti-scale device they experienced excessive scaling outside of the evaporative condenser tubes.
The injection molding machine have scaled badly for years, so it was always difficult to clean the pipe, especially the heat exchanger of the mold temperature controller.
Before installing the Vulcan unit, the scanning machine could not read barcodes due to scale incrustations. Now after installed Vulcan, the machine is able to read these bar codes correctly. Bigard is now saving on maintenance costs and reduced time spent on cleaning the washing machine and white boxes.
Before Vulcan S100 was installed in hotel’s main hot water line, the storage tanks had a solid 3 cm thick scale layer inside them and the pumping pressure from the booster set was at maximum while being unable to deliver adequate water pressure to the end of the line hotel rooms.
